Movie Club
ACTIVITIESThe Flight of the Phoenix. The 2004 film is a remake of a 1965 movie of the same name, and stars Dennis Quaid. Flight of the Phoenix is the story of a group of people who survive an airplane crash in the desert. To escape they have to build a new plane from parts of the old one. The 2004 version was filmed on location in the Namib Desert in SW Africa.

We are responsible for table setup, breakdown and general cleanliness of area during usage. Bring your own water bottles, coffee etc and take them as you leave. The tables are best with our wonderful pads. -
Hiking
ACTIVITIESThe hike this week is Snooks Bottom, which is a lake park in Fruita and then proceed to top Opal Hill.
Snooks Bottom is an area off Kings View Road, where we will circle the lake for about 1.2 miles of fairly flat trail and then proceed to the nearby Opal Hill, where we will hike to the top for another 2.8 miles.

If you like bowling for fun with friendly people, come join us each Friday morning at 9:15 a.m. at the Orchard Mesa Lanes, 295 27 Road. The cost is $8.50 for three games (+$2 if you rent shoes). Men and women bowl separately. All skill levels are welcome.

The Needlecrafters get together the second Monday of the month September through May, from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Bring whatever you’re working on—embroidery, knitting, crochet, counted cross stitch, quilting, beadwork, or any UFO (unfinished object) you’d like to tackle. We share tips, ideas and great conversation!

Doors open at 5 pm, and the presentation starts at 5:30 pm. Please come early for parking and good seating.
