The Needlecrafters get together the second Monday of the month September through May, from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Bring whatever you’re working on—embroidery, knitting, crochet, counted cross stitch, quilting, beadwork, or any UFO (unfinished object) you’d like to tackle. We share tips, ideas and great conversation!
Jim will be leading Holey Bucket, again, since the weather will be much better this Thursday The Holey Bucket trail is located in the Tabeguache Lunch Loop Trail System. The trail runs along the east side of a small valley below Little Park Road connecting the Holy Cross and Clunker trails. You will see interesting earth formations. However, since this is primarily a bicycle area, please be on watch for bicycles. Expect a 200 foot elevation increase and about 1.5 mile.
It should be warmer, around 40F, this week and quite sunny. Meet outside Safeway , Redlands, near the SW corner, outside Chow Down at 0845. We will carpool to the trailhead.

Drop in any Monday, Wednesday or Friday at Canyon View Park for mixed doubles play. Court time is 1 pm to 3 pm. Everyone welcome.
Learn more about our community by participating in tours of local organizations, businesses and non-profits. Members meet at the organization for a close-up look at how it operates. Recent tours have included Peach Street Distillers, the Nuclear Museum, Grand Junction Curbside Recycling, the Hotel Maverick and Devil’s Kitchen restaurant. Following the tour, we gather for lunch at a nearby local restaurant. Reservations are taken for a lunch and tour at the Newcomers meeting immediately before the tour. If you do not attend the meeting, you may email the coordinator to reserve a spot or to be put on a waiting list. Some locations can handle as many as 30 people, but usually groups are limited to 20 participants.
The December lunch will be at The Feisty Pint, 359 Colorado Ave. at noon. Instead of the White Elephant Gift Exchange that we have done in the past, we will take up a cash collection for the Food Bank of the Rockies. Jim is leading yet another hike (Thanks, Jim) in Kodel Canyon. This is in Macinnis Canyon, near Devils Canyon, outside Fruita. We will hike an interesting route around desert paths and canyons. It will be relatively easy. Temp around 30, and sunny, dress warmly . We will hike around 2 hours. Meet in Fruita at Dinosaur Journey at 0845. We will carpool to trailhead.

We are responsible for table setup, breakdown and general cleanliness of area during usage. Bring your own water bottles, coffee etc and take them as you leave. The tables are best with our wonderful pads.
