ACTIVITIES

We will hike the Mica Mine hike.  This is a particularly wonderful hike because it is close, has an amazing canyon, and is both easy and short (about 1.5 hours).  It is one of the best hikes to take a visiting grandchild or out-of-town visitor. 

 Meet at 0845 at the Redlands Safeway shopping center parking lot on the SW corner, outside Chow Down.  Safeway is located on Broadway.  If you are arriving from central Junction, go west on Grand, which turns into Broadway, heading just across the river.  We will assemble and then carpool to the parking lot in Bangs Canyon for the hike. 

 A walking stick will be useful for the uneven footing.  Always bring water on hikes.
