DESCRIPTION:Mahjong before holiday lunch \nLocation : SpyGlass Club House\,  across from 2693 Lookout Lane 80503\n( Hwy 50 toward Delta\, Turn on 27 Rd\,   Right on Spyglass Drive ; wind to top of hill. At stop sign turn Left onto Lookout Lane. Follow until the club house is on the left. Park on street or lot (make sure to leave one spot open for employees) \nThe club house is open to members of SpyGlass subdivision at all times and meetings may be running concurrently. We are responsible for table setup\, breakdown and general cleanliness of area during usage. Bring your own water bottles\, coffee etc and take them as you leave. The tables are best with our wonderful pads.

SUMMARY:Hiking
DESCRIPTION:The hike this week is Snooks Bottom\,  which is a lake park in Fruita and then proceed to top Opal Hill. \nSnooks Bottom  is an area off Kings View Road\, where we will circle the lake for about 1.2 miles of fairly flat trail and then proceed to the nearby Opal Hill\, where we will hike to the top for another 2.8 miles.  A wonderful view of the Devils Canyon is to be accomplished at the top.  Are there opals on the hill?  Maybe at one time there was some petrified wood that was opalized by silicon deposit solutions; but most of that is picked over.  (I actually found one.) Possibly a rainstorm will uncover some in the future. I would call this hike moderate\, cause we have to circle up a hill; but it is fairly easy for a hill climb. It will be near perfect weather of sunny and temperatures in the 40’s.\nThe hike will take about 2.5 hours.  Could you do just Snooks Bottom?  Yes\, if you let me know that you are dropping out\, so I do not look for you–possibly fallen into the lake🚣.  Meet at Fruita at Dinosaur Journey\, East side\,  at 10 AM. \, so it will be warmer. We will carpool to the trailhead.  Lunch afterward at Rib City Grill\, if you like\, another Best of the West award winning restaurant.

Seating is first come\, first served.at the Central Branch of the Mesa County Public Library\, located on Grand Ave between 5th and 6th. Doors open at 6 pm\, and the presentation starts at 6:30 pm.
