DESCRIPTION:Mahjong before holiday lunch \nLocation : SpyGlass Club House\,  across from 2693 Lookout Lane 80503\n( Hwy 50 toward Delta\, Turn on 27 Rd\,   Right on Spyglass Drive ; wind to top of hill. At stop sign turn Left onto Lookout Lane. Follow until the club house is on the left. Park on street or lot (make sure to leave one spot open for employees) \nThe club house is open to members of SpyGlass subdivision at all times and meetings may be running concurrently. We are responsible for table setup\, breakdown and general cleanliness of area during usage. Bring your own water bottles\, coffee etc and take them as you leave. The tables are best with our wonderful pads.

DESCRIPTION:For this week\, here is one of the all-time favorites for this group: Rustlers Loop.  This McInnis Canyon area hike has great views of the cliffs high above the Colorado River.  It is about 3.5 miles and about 100 foot elevation gain\, one of our easiest and fun for all.\n\n   Meet in Fruita at Dinosaur Journey Museum\, East side of the parking lot at the later time of 10:00.  We will carpool to the trailhead. Even though we will start late\, the temperatures will be in the 30s with full sun.  Dress warmly.   Maybe afterward\, we can eat at the award-winning Fruita restaurant\, Munchies.  Up to you…

SUMMARY:Tour and Lunch
DESCRIPTION:On Thursday\, January 22\, we are going to tour the Clark Distillery in beautiful Palisade.  The tour will start at 11 and then we will have lunch there.  Sign up sheets will be at the Newcomers monthly meeting\, January 14\, or you can contact Suzan at suzanfour@msn.com.\nLearn more about our community by participating in tours of local organizations\, businesses and non-profits. Members meet at the organization for a close-up look at how it operates. Recent tours have included Peach Street Distillers\, the Nuclear Museum\, Grand Junction Curbside Recycling\, the Hotel Maverick and Devil’s Kitchen restaurant. Following the tour\, we gather for lunch at a nearby local restaurant. Reservations are taken for a lunch and tour at the Newcomers meeting immediately before the tour. If you do not attend the meeting\, you may email the coordinator to reserve a spot or to be put on a waiting list. Some locations can handle as many as 30 people\, but usually groups are limited to 20 participants.
